I heard a podcast by David Allen and thought I would share a couple of the thoughts he passed along.

David Allen says set a ton of goals and see which two are still around at the end of the year.

He also says many times we don’t reach our goals and this is not neccessarily a bad thing. Many times halfway through reaching these goals we realize that the thing we were headed toward was not what we really wanted in the first place, and then we redirect toward the real goal.

He made the statement that it is easier to turn around and head in a different direction than it is to get started. In other words it would be better to head toward some goal and then have to redirect to a different goal than to simply sit and have no goal.
