I Sam 10:26 – “And Saul also went home to Gibeah; and there went with him a band of men, whose hearts God had touched.”
This is what every church planter must do before and during the time he is working to church plant on the field. You need men and not just any kind of men but “…men whose hearts God has touched.”
Pray to God and work for God. William Cary said “Expect great things from God, attempt great things for God.” The missionary must work and attempt to do great things for God all the while expecting by faith that God will do great things through his life in the lives of those around him.
When you begin to work with people and you realize the great distance that a man has to go from being a lost sinner to being the pastor of a church you will surely see your desperate situation before God. A missionary has 4 years to find a man, train him and leave him as the pastor of a church. Sounds pretty easy huh? This should cause a “praying without ceasing” attitude to pour from your lips. YOU NEED GOD TO DO A GOD WORK INSIDE THE MEN AROUND YOU!
Start praying today that God would give you men and that He would do a wonderful work in their heart.
