Why in the world Africa?

This was the class I was given to teach on at this year’s OG camp.  I thought I would share with you “Why” we should reach and go to Africa.

I will keep it short and give you one simple reason at a time.

 I.  Because the number of souls – 1,037,694,509 souls – according to en.worldstat.info/Africa.

  • For the whole of Africa life expectancy is 57 for men, 60 for women
  • The population of Africa is expected to reach 1.3 billion in 2025. The countries with the largest populations are Nigeria (175 million), Egypt (82 million), Ethiopia (84 million), the Democratic Republic of Congo (67 million), and South Africa (50 million).
  • An estimated 2,000 languages and dialects are spoken in Africa, some by a few million people, others by only a few thousand.
  • 2nd Largest Populated Continent
  • Larger than the combined populations of North & South America.
  • 300 million more people than the continent of Europe.

Hebrews 9:27 – And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Conclusion:  There are just simply too many souls in Africa not to go preach the Gospel and plant churches that will continue to reach out after we have gone.  Africa needs Laborers!!!
